Islam gives so much respect and places her women high in the society by protecting her dignity and keeping her modest through the use of garment in public places. Allah May He be exalted says in Q33v59
“O prophet! Tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to draw their cloaks (veils) all over their bodies. That will be better, that they should be known (as free respectable women) so as not to be annoyed. And Allah is Ever oft-Forgiving, Most merciful’.
Narrated by Aisha( Ummul Mu’minin) “Asmau, daughter of AbuBakr, entered upon the Messenger of Allah (saw) wearing thin clothes. The Messenger of Allah (saw) turned his attention from her and said: O Asmau!, when a woman reaches the age of menstruation, it does not suit her that she displays her parts of body except this and this, and he (saw) pointed to her face and hands. (Sunan of Abu-Dawood Hadith 4092)
It is mandatory for all women who are adherent to the Islamic faith to adorn the Hijab as stipulated by Allah in the Quran.
REMEMBER!!! Q33:36”It is not for a believing man or a believing woman, when Allah and His Messenger have decided a matter, that they should [thereafter] have any choice about their affair. And whoever disobeys Allah and His Messenger has certainly strayed into clear error”.
May Allah make it easy for us all and reward us all abundantly.
The Solat Garment drive is an initiative of the Hijab Rights Advocacy initiative aimed at sensitizing, educating and encouraging the Muslim women to dress properly particularly when observing their solat. The fact that a woman’s clothing should cover all of her body whilst praying ( Solat) is indicated by the hadeeth of Umm Salamah (may Allaah be pleased with her) who was asked about what clothes a woman should pray in. she said: “She should pray in a khimaar (head cover) and a long chemise that covers the tops of her feet.” Narrated by Abu Dawood, 639.
Ibn Abbas, Ibn Umar and Aishah also narrate that the Prophet (saws) said, “Allah does not accept the prayer of an adult woman unless she is wearing a head-covering (khimar, hijab).”
Hence, our target is to gift as many Muslim women as possible a solat garment to keep them covered in solat and also hope and pray it extends to their everyday lives.
REMEMBER!!! Proper dressing is one of the conditions of a valid prayer. May Allah ( swt) accept our Solat and all our dua in the best manner. Ameen
The Benefits of wearing the Hijab are numerous. They include:

• Not flashy ie not a cloth of arrogance
HIJAB IN RAMADHAN
A number of times especially during Ramadhan, we have friends, neighbours or families who are new hijabis. Here are some tips to help them.
DO’S & DON’TS OF WELCOMING A NEW HIJABI
👉🏼Do buy her a new hijab to get her hijab collection started.
👉🏼Don’t assume she’s not the same old Asmau anymore. Hijab is the most visible part of the journey she’s been trekking on for the past little while. You can’t see her hair today but she hasn’t changed too much since yesterday.
👉🏼Do take her hijab-less photos off of your social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc.
👉🏼Do make duah for her. Make duah that Allah SWT rewards her efforts in this life and in the Hereafter that He SWT showers her with His limitless blessings, that He SWT guides her to the straight path and makes wearing hijab super easy for her. Ameen.
👉🏼Do continue to encourage her, especially when she finds it difficult or wants to just give up. Remind her of Allah’s reward. Shaytaan comes up with all sorts of tricks to dishearten and weaken the believers especially when they are doing something good.
👉🏼Do be a supportive listener. You wouldn’t believe the struggles some sisters face from their very own family and friends when they start wearing hijab. Be a good friend and hear them out- you never know how much your support can help them.
👉🏼Don’t be a Hijabi-hater- If you are not wearing it yet ask Allah to make it easy for you in the mean time encourage those who are trying to.
👉🏼Don’t assume she has become a Sheikha/Alima overnight. She didn’t acquire total Islamic knowledge the moment she covered her hair.
While we all strive to adhere to Allah’s injunctions by wearing the hijab, let’s be wary of our character and modesty, as it’s our inner hijab. The noblest of mankind was reported to have said” I have not come to do anything but to perfect our morals” (Muslim)
